Edgemont Junior-Senior High School is seeking candidates for an anticipated leave replacement school counselor position for grades 7-9 from September 2025 through March 2026. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the social-emotional needs of young adolescents, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask the various demands of the role. Candidates will be interviewed on a rolling basis as needed and a hire may be made prior to the post closing date.The candidate will be expected to fulfill the multitude of responsibilities, some of which include the following: individual and group counseling, overseeing students’ academic progress, communication and collaboration with colleagues, staff, students, families, and administration, and participation in various teams and committees. Prior experience as a school counselor is strongly preferred. Valid NYS certification as a School Counselor is required.
