Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package available.Reports to:Building Principal Description:The Elementary Assistant Principal- Seely Place School (K-6) Edgemont Union Free School District seeks a collaborative, motivated, and highly-qualified candidate for a full-time, temporary administrative position. It is anticipated that this assignment will be 30-60 days. Ideal candidate will have/be:Experience in teacher leadership/professional learning and data-driven student instruction;Proficiency in elementary curriculum and best practices;Well-versed in elementary pedagogy and how to meet the unique social, emotional and physical needs of elementary students;Experience in creating a welcoming, supportive, and positive school community and culture for all students;Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;Collaborative leader who values feedback from staff, students and parents;Organizational skills to effectively support a safe and respectful learning environment;Adept at using technology as an integrated learning tool; A thorough knowledge of special education and best practices that support students who learn differently; Innovative and creative thinker who can work in partnership with faculty, staff, and parents to evaluate and advance our current educational program;A positive, student-centered disposition that will help students rediscover the joy of learning in-person together. Work is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2022, with construction anticipated to occur on all three campuses planned for the next three years. Minimum Qualifications: NYS School Administrator or School Building Leader certification or currently enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program leading to certification.
