Substitute Teachers (Per Diem and Building) Middle and High SchoolEdgemont Jr/Sr High School (grades 7-12) are seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. A four-year college degree is preferred. NYS teaching certification is preferred but not required. Graduate students are encouraged to apply. Ideally, we are seeking applicants who are available and desire to work every day to fill day-to-day absences. Experience working with children in a classroom or comparable setting required. Effective classroom management skills are necessary. Prerequisite: NYSED fingerprint clearance required.Compensation: Permanent Building Substitutes - $150/day, NYS-Certified Per Diem Substitutes - $135/day, Non-Certified Per Diem Substitutes -$125/day . No benefits. Non-certified substitute teachers are able to work up to 40 days per school year.
