Elementary Accelerated Learning Teacher, Probationary2025-2026Anne Hutchinson School/Greenvale SchoolEastchester School District is seeking a passionate and dynamic Elementary Accelerated Learning Teacher to support and challenge high-achieving students in grades 2-5. This educator will design and implement engaging, rigorous instruction tailored to students’ advanced academic needs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Project-Based Learning (PBL), Capstone Projects, and other enrichment programs that foster critical thinking, creativity, and real-world problem-solving. Overall, the candidate will have a chance to inspire and challenge students who are eager to go beyond the standard curriculum.Key Responsibilities:Develop and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the needs of gifted and high-achieving students.Implement Project-Based Learning (PBL) and facilitate Capstone Projects that encourage inquiry, innovation, and real-world application.Lead enrichment programs, including STEM initiatives, debate, coding, research-based learning, and other advanced academic opportunities.Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide acceleration and enrichment opportunities.Utilize data-driven instruction to assess student progress and tailor learning experiences.Foster a classroom environment that promotes intellectual curiosity, independent learning, and student-led inquiry.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth.Qualifications:Strong understanding of best practices for advanced learning and differentiated instruction.Experience with Project-Based Learning and the Capstone Project model.Knowledge of advanced learning strategies, STEM integration, and interdisciplinary enrichment programs.Ability to develop curriculum and lesson plans that challenge and engage advanced learners.Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.Requirements:NYS certification: Childhood/Elementary K-6; Gifted & Talented Certification PreferredNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, full time probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; $62,620 - $86,668, step placement contingent upon prior related experience. Internal transfers will maintain their step and salary placement*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
