Elementary Education Teacher - Grade 5 Departmentalized Teacher, ProbationaryAnne Hutchinson School2025-2026The Eastchester School District is seeking a qualified experienced educator, with an expertise in Childhood Education, Literacy/Math, to fill the probationary vacancy of Elementary Education Teacher, Grade 5 - Departmentalized Teacher in the Anne Hutchinson School. An ideal candidate will have experience as a Grade 5 ELA and/or Math Teacher. This departmentalized role focuses on providing high-quality English Language Arts and/or Math instruction to fifth-grade students. A successful candidate can:Design and deliver engaging ELA and Math lessons aligned with state and school curriculum standardsFoster a love for reading, writing and Math through dynamic instruction and differentiated learning strategiesImplement best practices in literacy and math instructionGuide students in developing strong writing skills across various genres, including narrative, persuasive, and informational writingUtilize formative and summative assessments to track student progress and tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needsIntegrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance literacy and math instructionCollaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and families to support student successMaintain a structured yet creative classroom environment that promotes engagement and academic growthImplement best practices in math and content areasRequirements: NYS certification: Elementary Childhood EducationNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, full time probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; $62,620 - $86,668, step placement contingent upon prior related experience. Internal transfers will maintain their step and salary placement.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
