Literacy Coach (Grades 2-5), Probationary2024-2025 Anne Hutchinson SchoolThe Eastchester School District is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable candidate for the probationary position of Literacy Coach for grades 2-5. The goal of the position is to ensure students receive high-quality literacy instruction by leading the development and improvement of teachers through training, non-evaluative observations, model lessons, feedback conversations, and data analysis. Knowledge of the science of reading required. Experience with Fundations or other Wilson programs preferred. Experience with Reading and Writing Workshop preferred.Requirements:Dual NYS certification preferred: Elementary/Childhood Education; Literacy/Reading; Special EducationNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, full time probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; $61,939 - $146,440, step placement contingent upon prior related experience. *Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
