Special Education Teacher, Grade 7, Leave Replacement2024-2025Eastchester Middle SchoolThe Eastchester Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 7th Grade Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and accessible learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.Requirements:NYS certification: Special Education; Math/Science 7-12 extension preferredNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, full-time position (1.0 FTE), leave replacement positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; $61,939 - $85,725, step placement contingent upon prior related experience. *Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
