Elementary Education Teacher/Academic Intervention Services (AIS) - Mathematics - Grades K-1, Probationary2024-2025 Waverly SchoolThe Eastchester School District is seeking a qualified experienced candidate, with an expertise in Mathematics, to fill the probationary vacancy of Elementary AIS - Mathematics Teacher for grades K-1, in the Waverly School. The responsibilities include:Delivering researched based math intervention for identified students in Tier II and/or Tier IIIWorking alongside administration and other support staff during MTSS meetingsData collection; analyzing various data sets to support or revise student progress in mathOngoing communication with classroom teachers throughout 6-8 weeks of tiered interventionCommunicating to families on student progress in math Any other related tasks that the principal may requestRequirements:Dual NYS certification preferred: Elementary/Childhood Education and Mathematics and/or Special EducationNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms: 10-month, probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; $61,939 - $85,725 step placement contingent upon prior related experience. *Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
