Middle School Assistant Principal, ProbationaryEastchester Middle SchoolEffective April 20, 2023 The Eastchester Schools seeks to hire an instructional leader with demonstrated competence in pedagogy, curriculum development, and evaluation and assessment to fulfill the role of Assistant Principal in the Middle School. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of student support services, including, but not limited to, student attendance, discipline, scheduling, student safety, and extracurricular activities.Requirements: The successful finalist must possess:NYS administrative certification: SBL or SAS as well as teaching certificationMaster’s Degree required; earned Doctorate or enrollment in Doctoral Program preferred.Employment Terms:12 month, probationary positionThe salary range is $145,000 to $155,000 based on experience, academic credentials and a record of achievements. *Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
