Physical Education Teacher, Leave Replacement2023-2024Anne Hutchinson SchoolThe Anne Hutchinson School is currently seeking a vibrant, experienced and motivated Physical Education Teacher for grades 2 - 5 for a short term leave replacement position. Responsibilities:Develops and administers Physical Education classes consistent with school district goals and objectives.Teaches knowledge of, and develops skills and abilities in, physical fitness, rhythm and dance, coordination and agility, exercise, and sports,Develops students' concepts in leadership, teamwork, responsibility and social skills; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and appropriate feedback to regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.Conducts ongoing assessment of student growth and progress in physical educational activities, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs.Ensures that student conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.Coordinates with other professional staff members, especially within physical education and grade level, and participates in faculty meetings and committees.Requirements:New York State Certification: Physical Education NYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms: Leave Replacement - approximately 3 weeks (Late March - Mid April)Salary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; per diem (1/200th) of $61,265- $144,847, step placement contingent upon prior related experience. *Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
