We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reading Teacher to join our team and support our mission of student success.The ideal candidate will provide high-quality reading instruction to students, fostering a love for literacy and supporting student growth in reading skills. Responsibilities:Provide targeted Tier II and/or Tier III reading instruction to students in small group and/or individual settingsDeliver reading intervention using research based and systematic programs Utilize various instructional strategies to improve students' reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary, based on dataDevelop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans to meet diverse student needsAssess student progress and adjust instruction accordinglyCollaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create comprehensive learning plansMaintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and administrationAssist with administration of Universal Screener Assessments and Diagnostic TestingBe a member of the MTSS teamParticipate in professional development and team meetingsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field (Master's Degree preferred)NYS Teaching Certification in Literacy or related areaExperience providing reading intervention and literacy instructionStrong knowledge of evidence-based reading instruction strategiesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsCommitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environmentRequirements:Dual NYS certification preferred: Elementary and LiteracyNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, full time probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; $62,620 - $86,668, step placement contingent upon prior related experience. Direct experience, additional certification and credits may increase salary range. Internal transfers will maintain their step and salary placement.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
