The Eastchester School District seeks an innovative leader to serve as its Director of Technology/Chief Information Officer. This position is a member of the District Leadership Team and works collaboratively with all stakeholders to create, coordinate and implement a district-wide technology program. The responsibilities of the Director of Technology/Chief Information Officer include, the implementation of a plan of long term and short term goals for Eastchester’s Technology Department; the oversight of the implementation of the District’s technology plan, the procurement and inventory of district-wide technology equipment, management of the District’s network and technology infrastructure, assisting with the preparation of policies and procedures related to technology use; coordination of staff development in technology for all staff members; and serving as the District’s Chief Information Officer, which includes the coordination, collection, analysis and presentation of district-wide data for the purposes of State/Federal reporting. Candidates for the position must possess either New York State School District Leader (SDL) and/or New York State School District Administrator (SDA) certification and have at least 3 years experience as a school district administrator. An educational background in computer science, educational technology or related field is preferred.
