The Dobbs Ferry School District seeks an experienced Elementary (Grades K-5) School Psychologist to join our District's team of related services and mental health professionals. This is a full time, probationary tenure track position effective August 27, 2025. NYSED Certification K-12 School Psychologist required; the successful candidate will have previous experience in a school setting. Salary commensurate with experience and terms of employment are in accordance with the Dobbs Ferry United Teachers (DFUT) contract.Job Duties/Responsibilities:Providing evidence-based counseling to students with IEPs, Section 504 Plans, and Building level counseling needs;Administering and interpreting psychoeducational evaluations;Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and developing Behavior Intervention Plans;Chairing CSE meetings and attending Section 504 meetings;Developing IEPs in compliance with NYS;Contributing to program development that furthers the integration of social, coping, and problem-solving in the classroom;Providing and/or assisting in professional development for staff, parents, and/or the community;Qualifications:Current knowledge of best practices in educating students with disabilities in inclusive school environments.Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with parents, teachers, students, and other school district personnel.Knowledge of IEP Direct.Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to implement an organizational system to support both case management and student needs simultaneouslyExperience in crisis intervention.Ability to multitask, adapt, and manage multiple priorities.Proficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports, and collect data.An understanding of CBT/DBT strategies and an ability to articulate and communicate with others about such strategies.Apply Via OLAS by 5:00 pm March 18, 2025.The Dobbs Ferry School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against race, religion, ethnicity, age, gender and disability in the educational programs and activities it operates.The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE legislation effective July 1, 2001.For more information about the Dobbs Ferry School District and our programs, please visit our website at www.dfsd.org.
