The Dobbs Ferry School District seeks an exceptional educator to join our Special Education team at Springhurst Elementary School, effective August 28, 2024. The successful candidate will work in partnership with their general education colleagues with the shared goal of improving our curriculum and instruction in literary practices and instruction, and our new mathematics curriculum for all students to access.This is a full-time, probationary, tenure-track position with an anticipated start date of August 28, 2024. Terms of employment are in accordance with the Dobbs Ferry United Teachers Contract.Requirements: New York State Certification: Special Education K-12; or Students with Disabilities All Grades; or SWD Grades 1-6 and Birth-Grade 2.Description:Proven experience with administering and interpreting standardized educational evaluations, developing and implementing accommodations and modifications within a general education setting, skills in developing IEPs with student-specific goals and data-driven progress monitoring. Assists teaching staff in implementing IEPs and behavior management plans.
