The Dobbs Ferry School District has an anticipated vacancy for a School Library Media Specialist for a temporary (leave replacement) position at Springhurst Elementary School, effective approximately April 22, 2024 and for up to 12 weeks. New York State Certification School Media Specialist required. The successful candidate ensures that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information; empowers students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers and ethical users of information; instills a love of learning in all students and ensure equitable access to information; collaborates with classroom teachers and specialists to design and implement lessons and units of instruction, and assess student learning and instructional effectiveness.Salary commensurate with experience and terms of employment are in accordance with the Dobbs Ferry United Teachers contract.
