The Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the following: Position: Technical Sciences or Technology Teacher (Full time probationary position) Start Date: As soon as possible. Salary: As per DAFA contract, based on experience Qualifications: NYS Teaching Certification in Applied Sciences, Technology Education, or Career & Technical Education Teacher Models a vision for preparing future-ready students in STEAM-related pathways through hands-on learning Strong collaboration, organizational, written and communication skills Strong student engagement and classroom management skills Desired Characteristics, Responsibilities, and Duties: Implement innovative and future-ready curriculum in related courses, including aligning curriculum to current NYS Standards Work collaboratively with other academic departments to implement cross-curricular content Implement student-centered practices in assessment of student growth, grading, and reporting Maintain communication and engagement with parents/guardians in a timely fashion regarding individual student progress, celebrations, and reporting of concerns Implement differentiated models of instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners, including students in need of modifications and accommodations Design authentic learning experiences, including project-based and inquiry-based learning in newly remodeled technology area with the latest equipment upgrades Commitment to professional development, teamwork, and innovative thinking Performs other duties as assigned by the building principal or Superintendent of Schools Reports to: Middle/High School Principal How to apply: Applications can be downloaded by visiting www.delhischools.org (Employment Opportunities) and should include: completed application, cover letter, resume, three letters of recommendation, and transcripts.
