The Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the following: Position: Speech Therapist, Speech Pathologist preferred (Full time probationary position, Part-time position available) Start Date: As soon as possible. Salary: As per DAFA contract, based on experience Qualifications: NYS teaching certification in Speech and Language Disabilities (all grades)Models a vision for preparing future-ready studentsStrong collaboration, organizational, written and communication skillsStrong student engagement and classroom management skillsKnowledge of current research, best practices, assessment, and instructional models in the field Desired Characteristics, Responsibilities, and Duties:Selected candidate will be responsible for evaluation, program planning and treatment for school aged students.Providing high quality direct speech-language therapy services to students according to students’ IEPs/504 plans or Speech Improvement Recommendation PlanOrganize and conduct identification program of students with potential speech/language difficultiesEvaluate speech and language functions and plan the clinical program for students who have been identified as speech/language impaired, Speech Impaired, and/or students having related disabilities with communication needs (i.e. Intellectually Disabled, Autistic, etc.)Comply with State Standards, District Policies, and ASHA Guidelines in the processes of referral, screening, and placementCreate a joyful learning environment that honors the dignity of all students while still pushing them to achieve more than they think possible Reports to: Director of Special Education How to apply: Applications can be downloaded by visiting www.delhischools.org (Employment Opportunities) and should include: completed application, cover letter, resume, three letters of recommendation, and transcripts.
