The Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the following: Position: Business Manager Start Date: October 1, 2024 Salary: Salary Commensurate with experience Qualifications: Candidates should possess or be eligible for New York State Administrative Certification or the appropriate Civil Service classification for a school business official. Experience in public school finance preferred. Candidate should possess hands on experience in managing daily business operations including payroll, purchasing, investments, insurance, and employee benefits; supervision and evaluation. Experience in Capital Building Projects; Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholder groups. Desired Characteristics, Responsibilities, and Duties:The Business Manager serves as the financial and business assistant to the Superintendent of Schools. This involves major responsibilities in the areas of budget preparation and control, bidding and purchasing of equipment and supplies, preparation of state fiscal reports and administration of special state and federal grants and capital projects as well as hands on experience managing daily business operations including payroll, purchasing, investments, insurance, and employee benefits.
