The Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the following:Position: Business and/or Computer Science Teacher (Full time probationary position)Salary: As per DAFA contract, based on experienceQualifications: NYS Teaching Certification in Business or Computer ScienceModels a vision for preparing future-ready students in these content pathwaysStrong collaboration, organizational, written and communication skillsStrong student engagement and classroom management skillsHigh levels of knowledge of current research, best practices, assessment, professional development and instructional strategies, programming, and models in the fieldBackground in instructional technology and student use of technology as a tool to access information in a global societyDesired Characteristics, Responsibilities, and Duties:Implement innovative and future-ready curriculum in business and/or computer field related courses, including aligning curriculum to current NYS StandardsWork collaboratively with other academic departments to implement cross-curricular contentImplement student-centered practices in assessment of student growth, grading, and reportingMaintain communication and engagement with parents/guardians in a timely fashion regarding individual student progress, celebrations, and reporting of concernsImplement differentiated models of instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners, including students in need of modifications and accommodationsCommitment to professional development, teamwork, and innovation in the fieldPerforms other duties as assigned by the building principal or Superintendent of SchoolsReports to: Middle/High School PrincipalDeadline: Rolling until filled.
