Responsibilities (Illustrative Only) Administer and coordinate the district’s interscholastic athletic program Ensure compliance with NYSPHSAA regulations, league rules, and district policies Develop and manage the athletic budget, including equipment, uniforms, and transportation Coordinate scheduling of contests, officials, transportation, and facility use Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and evaluation of coaching staff in collaboration with district administration Maintain accurate records for student-athlete eligibility, participation, and required clearances Ensure adherence to health, safety, and risk management protocols Serve as liaison with athletic leagues, officials, and partnering schools Promote sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and a positive school image Supervise athletic events, including game-day operations and crowd management Communicate effectively with students, families, coaches, and community stakeholders Manage inventory, maintenance, and distribution of athletic equipment and uniforms Coordinate student-athlete recognition and support post-secondary athletic opportunities Ensure compliance with Title IX and equitable athletic opportunities Collaborate with district and building administrators on athletic operations, student support, and facility use Work closely with building administration to coordinate daily operations, event supervision, and student-athlete expectations Collaborate with administration on athletic facilities use and long-range program planning Qualifications Valid New York State School District Leader (SDL) and Physical Education certification or Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) certification. Experience in Physical Education and/or Coaching. Experience in Leadership or School Administration. Anticipated Starting Date July 1, 2026
