AUDIOVISUAL COORDINATOR DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This work involves the operation, care, storage and coordination of audiovisual equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher level employee. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of an employee in this class. Does related work as required. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (Illustrative only) Coordinates and participates in the delivery of audiovisual equipment to areas where needed; Instructs faculty and students in the use of audiovisual equipment; Operates, maintains, troubleshoots and makes minor repairs to equipment; Maintains inventory of all audio and visual equipment; Operates and adjusts audiovisual building systems/programs; Produces video and audio materials by recording and/or editing; Orders and ensures delivery of materials for classroom presentations; Maintains records on delivery and maintenance schedules for equipment; Assists in the preparation of requisitions and recommendations for the purchase of audiovisual equipment and materials; Attends training sessions to keep current with audiovisual technology and repairs; Performs a variety of clerical tasks associated with the audiovisual program. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good knowledge of the operation and maintenance of audiovisual equipment; ability to plan and determine need for equipment; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to get along well with others; mechanical aptitude; clerical aptitude; resourcefulness; tact; courtesy; good judgment; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the positions. MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (a) Graduation from regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with an Associates degree or higher; or (b) Graduation from high school or possession of a GED AND two (2) years of experience working with audiovisual equipment.Apply on OLAS
