IT Support SpecialistCenter for Spectrum Services has an immediate opening for an IT Support Specialist.We are a nationally recognized day school serving students with autism ages 3-12 years. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being part of a team and working in a collaborative environment.The ideal candidate for the IT position will provide technical support to our Kingston and Ellenville, New York locations under the direct supervision of the school’s Multiple Service Provider. Applicants must have knowledge of troubleshooting and operation of computer hardware and common software applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Support school staff with end user issues. Assisting in the installation, configuration and testing of hardware, software and web apps.Provide technical advice and assistance in the classroom to support teaching staff with various hardware and software.Perform basic network (LAN , WAN) and troubleshooting analysis to keep overall network healthy.Management of accounts both in Windows domain, Azure and Google WorkspaceWork with Human Resources on a regular basis for User management.Setup and configure Windows, Chromebooks, iPads, Smartboards and printers in a domain environment. Maintain schools Mobile Device Management for iPads and Chromebooks using Apple School Manager, Google Workspace and Azure.Maintain technology inventory records for the school using web-based apps.Work with Staff on hardware purchasing needs.Maintain security platforms (Knowbe4) and provide security awareness training. Serve as a technical liaison to the Schools MSP (Multiple Service Provider) - Professional Computer Associates on various items such as the installation of monitoring and antivirus apps, office 365 and Google platforms. Assist with providing list of IT equipment needed to CFO for purchasing under grant funding.Ensure that the IT inventory has adequate equipment in stock to level set by IT Multiple Service Provider and Chief Financial Officer.Demonstrate familiarity with and adhere to State and Federal regulations and policies (i.e. NYSED, Medicaid, NYS Office of Children and Families).Provide training sessions and workshops to develop staff’s technology skills and provide additional educational resources.Maintain appropriate repair records and maintenance logs.ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Knowledge of the following platforms: Windows 10-11, Server 2012-2022, Adobe, Hyper-V, Unifi Wifi.Ability to multitask in time-sensitive situations while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency expectations. Maintain highest standards of data privacy, security and ethical conduct.
