The Carle Place School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Elementary Teacher with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience to support students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate holds special education certification (7-12) and is committed to creating a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment while implementing evidence-based ABA strategies to promote academic, social, and behavioral growth. Additional special education certification (B-6) preferred. Key Responsibilities/Skills: Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals Apply ABA principles and data-driven interventions in classroom instruction Conduct ongoing data collection and progress monitoring Collaborate with district BCBA, various therapists, general education teachers, and families Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior supports Adapt curriculum to meet individual learning needs Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and professional development Maintain accurate documentation and comply with special education regulations
