The successful candidate must hold appropriate certification as a School District Leader (SDL). Candidates that hold a Masters degree in Educational Technology or a related field are preferred. Additionally, candidates with prior experience in the reporting of state data are encouraged to apply. This is a 12-month administrative position subject to the collective bargaining agreement under the Cornwall Administrators’ Association (CAA). This position requires the flexibility to successfully lead and support the integration of technology in the classroom while simultaneously being responsible for maintaining the integrity of data for the school district specific to state reporting requirements. As it relates to data, the individual is responsible for the management of reports from multiple sources, including, but not limited to, New York State assessment data, student demographics, and all Level I reporting to NYSED. Specific to instructional technology, the individual is responsible for investigating, supporting and providing explicit instruction in the use of various software platforms that support student learning objectives. Promoting the ubiquitous use of technology in a teacher’s classroom is a critical component of this individual’s leadership work. The work is performed under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, while working closely with the Director of Technology and building principals.
