Job Description: The eLearning Academy at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is seeking NYS-certified teachers to join our virtual academy, which is designed to provide a flexible, student-centered learning experience. This opportunity is ideal for educators who are passionate about teaching and adaptable in a virtual environment. Virtual teachers provide personalized, asynchronous instruction to high school students through a learning management system (LMS), supported by scheduled synchronous meetings. We welcome applicants with diverse experiences and a creative vision for engaging students in a virtual learning environment. Responsibilities: Personalize and manage virtual learning environments and curriculum Host live synchronous sessions over Zoom or Google Meet Communicate and collaborate with students and learning professionals Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities in a virtual environment Provide consistent, meaningful, and timely feedback to support student engagement and mastery of course content Personalize vendor created content for student learning and teacher presence Report student progress through a Student Information System (SchoolTool) Positions Available: Technology Education Computer Technology Spanish, 7-12 French, 7-12 Qualifications: Candidates must have a valid NYS teaching certification for grades 7-12 Proficiency with instructional technology, learning management systems, and Google Workspace for Education Effective student and professional communication skills Proficiency with Google Meets or Zoom Innovative and creative instructional strategies Excellent communication and teamwork skills Dual certification in applicable subject areas preferred Possess a computer and access to internet For more information, please contact Kati Hinman: khinman@cayboces.org
