Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is seeking a dynamic and innovative Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher for an anticipated opening beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that supports students in developing essential life skills, career readiness, and knowledge related to family, consumer, and human services pathways.Responsibilities Include:Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-aligned family and consumer sciences instructionDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learnersIntegrate academic, technical, and employability skills within family and consumer sciences courseworkCollaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to support student successCreate a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, including hands-on learning spacesEngage in continuous professional learning and reflective practiceRequired Qualifications:New York State Certification in Family and Consumer Sciences Education (or appropriate related certification), requiredCandidates who are eligible for NYS certification in the near future will be consideredStrong instructional, organizational, and classroom management skillsCommitment to innovation, collaboration, and student-centered learningOur Purpose & Values:Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES exists to support students, staff, and component districts through innovative programs and services.
