The Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES provides expansive programming for children and adults throughout the region. We operate an on-site licensed Day Care Center that serves as a community resource while providing an authentic work-based learning experience to high school students in our Early Childhood Education Career and Technical Education program. The Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES seeks a dynamic individual to serve in a multifaceted role. The Early Childhood Education Coordinator will serve as the lead teacher in our 3PK classroom as well as the Director of our Day Care Center. The Early Childhood Education Coordinator will also collaborate with our Early Childhood Education high school teacher to coordinate meaningful and relevant learning experiences for our youngest learners as well as our high school students. Successful candidates must:Possess Bachelor’s Degree, including or in addition to, 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a relate fieldPossess or be eligible for NYS teacher certification in Elementary Education, B-2Have a minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in an early childhood programHave a minimum of one year of supervision experiencePrimary Roles and Responsibilities:Develop and deliver developmentally-appropriate instruction to 3 year old students in our preschool programProvide oversight and supervision to our Day Care CenterCollaborate with Early Childhood Education CTE teacher Salary Range: Commensurate with experienceEffective start date: Immediately Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
