Please direct application materials to: Mr. Christopher Clancy, Superintendent Clinton Central School 75 Chenango Ave Clinton, NY 13323Please apply on OLAS.Director of Pupil Personnel Services Reports to: Superintendent of SchoolsQualifications: Current New York State SDA or SDL Certification Responsibilities:Leadership and OversightProvide leadership for all programs and services supporting students’ academic, social-emotional, and physical well-being, including Special Education, English as a New Language (ENL), counseling, and health services.Chair the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) and serve as a member of the Section 504 Committee.Serve as the District Title IX Compliance Officer, District Homeschool Coordinator, and Chair of the District Health and Wellness Committee.Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of short- and long-term district goals related to student support services, equity, inclusion, and wellness.Supervision and Personnel DevelopmentSupervise and evaluate staff assigned to student support services, including school psychologists, counselors, social workers, speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and ENL staff.Oversee the recruitment, assignment, and evaluation of special education staff in collaboration with building principals.Provide professional development and in-service training for general and special education staff to ensure best practices in instruction, compliance, and student support.Program Coordination and ComplianceOversee the implementation of special education, Section 504, and ENL programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and adherence to procedural safeguards.Maintain student records, monitor the continuum of services, and prepare all reports, grants, and documentation required by NYSED and the Board of Education, including the annual Special Education report and Sections 611 and 619 grants.Coordinate the identification and evaluation process (“child find”) to ensure all students with disabilities are appropriately identified and served.Prepare for and lead district compliance reviews, monitoring visits, and impartial hearings as necessary.Budget, Data, and Program DevelopmentDevelop and monitor budgets for special programs PreK–12, including STAC and Medicaid reporting and billing.Provide accurate monthly enrollment and placement data for students in BOCES and out-of-district programs.Analyze and adjust the continuum of student support programs to meet evolving needs, initiating new programs when appropriate.Utilize data and stakeholder input to ensure programs and services are effective, equitable, and aligned with district goals.Collaboration and CommunicationFacilitate communication and coordination among school staff, families, and outside agencies to ensure effective delivery of support services.Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and community partners to promote health, wellness, and inclusive practices across the district.Provide regular updates and reports to the Superintendent and Board of Education.Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
