The Clifton-Fine Central School District is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Spanish Teacher for grades 7–12 to inspire students in developing language proficiency and cultural understanding. The ideal candidate will create engaging lessons that support students in building speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while fostering an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures. Located on the western edge of the Adirondacks and serving as the gateway to the Five Ponds Wilderness Area, Clifton-Fine Central School District is a small, close-knit community committed to providing students with personalized learning opportunities and strong connections with their teachers. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Spanish language instruction for students in grades 7–12. Develop lessons aligned with New York State Learning Standards for World Languages. Foster communication skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Incorporate cultural learning experiences related to Spanish-speaking countries. Assess student progress and provide feedback to support learning and growth. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities. Qualifications New York State Certification in Spanish (7–12) or eligibility for certification. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to create engaging, student-centered lessons. Experience with differentiated instruction and technology integration preferred.
