The Clifton-Fine Central School District is seeking a skilled and dependable Food Service Worker – Cook/Baker to join our team in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for students and staff. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be culinary creative, maintain a clean and efficient kitchen, and contribute to a positive dining experience that supports the health and well-being of our school community.Located on the western side of the Adirondacks and serving as the gateway to the Five Ponds Wilderness Area, the Clifton-Fine Central School District is a small, close-knit community committed to providing students with a supportive and enriching educational environment.Job Summary:The Cook/Baker prepares and bakes nutritious, high-quality meals for students and staff in accordance with USDA guidelines and district policies. This role includes meal preparation, baking, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting in managing day to day kitchen operations. The Cook/Baker may also assume kitchen oversight in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.Essential Duties:Prepare and bake entrees, sides, and desserts for school meals.Follow recipes and portion control standards.Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely.Maintain sanitary conditions and proper food storage.Assist with inventory, deliveries, and daily production records.Support kitchen operations and teamwork, including routine direction of other food service workers.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.5 years of food service experience preferred.Supervisory experience preferred.Ability to read and follow recipes.Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits.Annual clothing allowance.Health insurance buyout option.Extra hourly pay for Cook/Baker designation.Follows school calendar (summers and holidays off).Application Deadline: November 14, 2025Start Date: On or about December 1, 2025
