The Clifton-Fine Central School District seeks an energetic leader to fill the position of Vice (Assistant) Principal/Athletic Director. Located in the western side of the Adirondacks and the gateway to the 5 Pond Wilderness Track, Clifton-Fine Central School District is a small, tight knit school that offers “big school” opportunities for students. The role of Vice-Principal/Athletic Director requires a visible, collaborative leader who will continue to support and foster the positive school climate and district initiatives.Serves as an instructional leader and promotes teamwork between teachers, staff, and studentsPromotes and administers the Clifton-Fine Eagles athletic programServes as Principal in the absence of PrincipalGuides discipline-related matters in accordance with the student code of conductEncourages high standards by fostering programs that support a positive school climate such as student of month or restorative practice as well as one of the team leaders of our active Pupil Personnel Services TeamAssists in the evaluation of staff and facultyCollaborates with the Principal on testing procedures including Regents exams and/or diagnostic assessmentsAssists in hiring of staffCertification:School Building LeaderSchool District AdministratorCandidates in an Administrative track of coursework may be considered, including consideration of paid Administrative Internship work.Term:10 Month, 20 Days July/August.
