Join our team in Cincinnatus as the Library Media Specialist! The library media specialist is responsible for managing and enhancing the library media program in the K-12 school. This role involves teaching 16 library classes to the elementary students, developing a dynamic and supportive learning environment, providing instructional support, and fostering a love of reading and learning among students. The Library Media Specialist will work collaboratively with educators, students, and the community to promote information literacy, digital citizenship, and academic excellence.Key Responsibilities:Library Management:Oversee the operation and maintenance of the library media center in the school.Develop and manage the library collection, including selecting, acquiring, and cataloging books, digital resources, and other educational materials.Maintain an organized and welcoming library environment that supports student learning and engagement.Instructional Support:Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources and technology into the curriculum.Design and deliver information literacy instruction, including research skills, digital citizenship, and critical thinking.Provide individualized and small-group support to students for research projects and academic assignments.
