Charlotte Valley CSD is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Library Media Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing access to information in an educational setting as well as a passion for teaching and supporting students.Charlotte Valley’s newly constructed library is scheduled to be opened on September 1, 2025. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to integrate this new space into the educational programs within the district. Responsibilities include:Selecting and purchasing materialsCataloging and organizing resourcesDeveloping and implementing instructional programsCollaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom instructionPromoting a love of readingPlanning and delivering effective and engaging library lessonsAssessing and monitoring student progressProviding timely feedback to students and their familiesCreating an inclusive classroom environmentProviding opportunities to engage students outside of the classroomQualifications:Candidates shall possess or be on track to possess NYS teaching certification as a Library Media Specialist. Compensation:The successful candidate will be provided a tenure track, four year probationary position. Starting salary is commensurate with experience, $49,455 to $68,226 plus contractual benefits.
