Located in the Schenectady/Rotterdam/Duanesburg, NY area, Crossroads Center for Children provides a range of programs for children aged two to ten. Our journey began as an integrated, center-based program for preschoolers with autism, and we've since expanded to serve children up to ten years old. While autism remains our clinical specialty, we welcome children with various disabilities who can benefit from our behaviorally based educational approach. As an OT at Crossroads, you will work alongside a talented team of special educators, behavior analysts, speech and language pathologist, physical therapists, and teaching assistants to deliver exceptional ABA services in a school setting. You’ll join a team of skilled occupational therapists in this full-time position (37.5 hours per week), which follows a school calendar, including a six-week summer program. We're seeking enthusiastic, committed professionals who are eager to help students reach their full potential. While experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders is preferred, it’s not required.Job Responsibilities Include:? Planning individual lessons that encompass student’s fine motor goals.? Performing standardized and non-standardized student assessments .? Continuously evaluating student progress.? Maintaining thorough records and documenting progress in student files and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).? Regularly participating in team meetings to ensure the coordination of student goals and progress.? Attending IEP meetings as needed.? Regular progress reporting.?
