Physical Therapist Crossroads Center for Children, located in Schenectady, NY, is looking to fill an immediate opening for a part-time Physical Therapist. We are looking for staff who are fun loving, life-long learners, committed, and determined to help students achieve their best. Come join our supportive team of professionals! Crossroads serves students in our school from ages 3-12 following principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. ABA is an empirically based science that is used to analyze the relationship between a child and their environment and improve socially significant behavior. We stress positively reinforcing appropriate behaviors and replacing challenging behaviors with functional communication. Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders is preferred, but not required. Job description includes, but is not limited to: Planning individual and group lessons that encompass student’s gross motor goals Working with a team of providers to assess student progress Parent training Report writing Attending meetings within the building and at the school district.
