Crossroads Center for Children, located in the Schenectady/Rotterdam/Duanesburg, NY area, is looking to fill immediate openings for Special Education Teacher Assistants. We are looking for staff who are fun loving, life-long learners, committed, and determined to help students achieve their best. Crossroads serves students following principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is an empirically based therapy that is used to analyze the relationship between a child and their environment to improve socially significant behavior. We stress positively reinforcing appropriate behaviors and replacing challenging behaviors with functional communication.We have positions in both integrated pre-school and self-contained school-aged classrooms. Each classroom consists of a teacher and multiple teacher’s aids supported by a Behavior Analyst and Educational Supervisor.
