Start date: on/about July 1, 2023.DUTIES/SKILLS:Knowledge of New York State Next Generation Learning Standards, elementary school curriculum, and instruction. A deep understanding of the Science of Reading.Ability to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment. Willing and able to work in a collaborative and inclusive educational environment. Understanding of a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, parents, and community members.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Preferred qualifications include: trained in restorative practices, excellent technology skills, background in data collection and analysis.Oversee a building of over 450 students and over 50 staff members.Work with the Assistant Superintendent on the district’s UPK program.Other duties include community/school events and other duties as assigned by the superintendent of schools.QUALIFICATIONS:Successful candidates must have a valid and current NYS Building Leader Certification (Initial, Professional, Permanent, Provisional).
