Please visit www.bayshoreschools.org for more information on our exceptional school community.Position Overview:Each Elementary Assistant Principal will work collaboratively with the Principal and staff to provide leadership, management, and support to ensure a positive and effective learning environment for all students. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong understanding of elementary education best practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to student achievement and well-being. Assistant Principals will assist in the day-to-day operations of the school, support instructional initiatives, foster positive relationships with students and families, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Assist the Principal in the overall administration and supervision of the elementary school.Support the implementation of the school's vision, goals, and strategic plan.Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance instructional practices and improve student outcomes.Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment initiatives.Support the implementation of positive behavior management systems and promote a positive school climate.Work collaboratively with the Principal to evaluate staff performance and provide professional development opportunities.Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and the community.Assist in the management of student discipline and attendance.Support the coordination of school events and activities.Serve as a resource for teachers, students, and parents.Assist with the development and management of the school budget.Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.Qualifications:New York State Certification as a School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL).Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience.Demonstrated leadership potential and experience in a school setting.Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum, instruction, and assessment.Experience with implementing differentiated instruction and meeting the needs of diverse learners.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all stakeholders.Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning and communication.Preferred Qualifications:Experience as an assistant principal or in a leadership role in an elementary school setting.To Apply:Interested candidates are invited to submit a letter of interest, resume, copies of certifications, and three professional references to Kristina M.
