BRENTWOOD UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT BRENTWOOD, NY 11717 The Brentwood Union Free School District, New York’s largest suburban school district, announces the following vacancy for an articulate, analytical, dedicated, progressive, and creative educations leader: BILINGUAL EARTH SCIENCE Leave Replacement Position Qualifications: Must hold NYS Earth Science 7-12 Successful public school teaching experience preferred Bilingual Extension/Spanish Proficient Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver engaging Earth Science lessons to students from different backgrounds, who all have different interests and abilities. Monitor student performance and adjusting teaching strategies and techniques for improved content delivery. Establishing classroom and laboratory rules ensuring all students understand and accept. Encouraging students to participate in science fairs, competitions and expos preparing them for these events. Maintain student attendance records, and grade examinations or assign this work to others. Prepare course materials such as homework assignments and required records. Initiate, facilitate and moderate classroom discussions. Select and obtain materials and supplies such as textbooks and laboratory equipment .
