Position - Full time Special Education teacher at Berlin Middle High SchoolQualifications: Certified NYS Students with Disabilities K-12, or 7-12 Dual certification in a content area highly preferred Co-teaching experience preferred Experience with Restorative Practices preferred Must possess a collaborative and supportive growth mindset Awareness and experience with use of technology in the classroom Must possess skills to maintain an effective learning environment for all studentsResponsibilities: Providing direct co-teach services and instruction Collaborating with general education teachers to deliver specially designed instruction Collaborating with related service providers Implementing and tracking Behavior Intervention Plans Progress monitoring IEP Monitoring & Development Creating student-centered transition plans; and providing support to students and families toward reaching transition goals Maintaining ongoing communication with parents and families Future responsibilities may include: teaching resource room, special class, direct and indirect consultant teaching servicesReports to: Building Principal and Director of PPS
