Job Description- Assess and evaluate students' health conditions and develop appropriate care plans- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers- Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies- Provide health education and counseling to students, families, and staff- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to promote a healthy school environment- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students using the student management system- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed-Provide care for students on a medical bus- Coordinate with community healthcare providers for specialized services or referralsJob Qualifications- Valid RN license (NYS)- Knowledge of health coaching principles and techniques- Familiarity with medical equipment, such as durable medical equipment (DME) and AED- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, staff, and healthcare professionals- Compassionate and student-centered approach to healthcare delivery
