Ability to work and support students with varied academic needs RESPONSIBILITIES: -Assist the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with developmental disabilities -Support students in their academic, social, and emotional growth -Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment -Assist with classroom management and organization -Support students with personal care needs, if required JOB QUALIFICATIONS Experience: -Previous experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities, is preferred -Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse learning needs and styles Skills: -Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel -Patience and empathy when working with students who may have challenging behaviors -Organizational skills to assist in maintaining a structured and supportive learning environment
