Special Education – 2025-2026 School Year– Appropriate NYS Certification RequiredThe Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is seeking a special education teacher for our High School 8:1 Special Class program (CHOICE - Creating Higher Outcomes by Increasing Community Experiences) at the Brookside Educational Center.  The successful candidate will have experience teaching students with severe and multiple disabilities.  Experience teaching functional academics, functional communication, prevocational skills and/or life skills is highly preferred.  Experience and background in behavioral approaches to teaching are required.
