An anticipated vacancy exists for a Special Education Teacher at the Belleville Henderson Central School District. Effective March 2025. Belleville Henderson has a historic commitment to quality education, professional learning, and desire to develop healthy relationships across the school community. Successful teacher candidates will:At a minimum, possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.At a minimum, possess or be in the process of obtaining a probationary or initial certificate issued by the New York State Education Department in Special Education in K-12 levels, or Students with Disabilities in K-12 levels.Duties include, but are not limited to:Provide consultant teacher, Special Class ELA, Special Class Math and/or resource room services to K-6 students with a range of disabilities.Writing and implementing IEPs.Record and report student progress.Provide program and testing accommodations, and present at CSE meetings and team meetings.Able to collaborate with general education teachers and related service staff to ensure student learning and achievement.Communicate regularly and effectively with parents.Knowledge with administering the alternate assessment is preferred.
