The Ardsley Union Free School District is seeking a certified and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our Athletics Department. The trainer provides injury prevention, emergency care, and rehabilitation services to student-athletes in alignment with NYSED guidelines. Working closely with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals, the trainer supports a safe, healthy, and inclusive athletic environment while promoting wellness and performance for all participants.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, treat, and manage acute injuries during practices and games.Plan and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.Maintain accurate medical records and injury documentation.Attend practices, games, and team events as assigned.Support school concussion management and return-to-play protocols.Collaborate with coaches, nurses, and physicians to coordinate care.Educate athletes, staff, and families on health and injury prevention.Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper care of athletic training equipment.Comply with all NYSED, NYSPHSAA, and district athletic health regulationsQualificationsLicense as an Athletic Trainer in New York State.Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field (Master’s preferred).CPR/AED and First Aid certification.Knowledge of NYS concussion and emergency care policies.Previous experience in a secondary school or collegiate setting.Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.In addition to applying on OLAS, you must also apply on our website at www.ardsleyschools.org (click on Careers).
