Anticipated Special Education Positions at Concord Road Elementary School (Two Positions)Qualifications:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in collaboration with parents/guardians, related service providers and other members of the educational team.Provide small group instruction for IEP students in a general education or special class setting.Identify and target areas in need of behavioral intervention through data collection and analysis.Design and implement behavior plans to effectively address and reduce maladaptive behaviors.Experience using the tenants of Applied Behavioral Analysis.Oron-Gillingham or Wilson Training/Certification preferred.Ability to differentiate instruction and utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to meet the unique learning needs of students.Implement a curriculum aligned with the NYS Learning StandardsCreate a supportive and structured learning environment that promotes student engagement, independence and social-emotional development.Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.Provide ongoing assessment of student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic and functional skill growth.Foster positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.Supervise support staff, ensuring they are deployed effectively and assigned tasks that align with the needs of the classroom and individual students.Experience initiating outreach to families to promote the generalization of skills from school to home.NYS certification in Students with Disabilities B-2 and 1-6 or All GradesIn addition to applying on OLAS, you must also apply on our website at www.ardsleyschools.org (click on Careers).
