Probationary Music Teacher needed for the middle school:Candidates will seek to nurture a love of music and provide students with a firm understanding of musical concepts and skills -Provide direct instruction to students and collaborates with K-12 music teachers to support the general music orchestra programs -Prepare students for concert performances annually per ensemble (including all orchestral ensembles) -Maintains cooperative and mutually achievements in General Music each year -Collaborate with Music colleagues to organize concerts and school-wide events -Excellent strings, vocal, and music training -3-5 years of successful general music/orchestra instruction preferred -Instrumental playing and performing experience -Electronic music and software skills (Garageband/Soundtrap, Sibelius, etc.) -Knowledge of Orff-Schulwerk/Kodaly methods -Active membership and knowledge of professional music organizations, NafME, NYSSMA, etc.Proper NYS Music Certification is required
