We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our dedicated team of professionals as a Guidance Counselor. In this role, you will play an integral part in providing essential support and guidance to a small student population. Your primary responsibility will be to assist students in their personal, social, and academic development, helping them navigate the challenges and transitions of their educational journey.The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to establish strong relationships with students and create a trusting atmosphere. You should deeply understand adolescent development, mental health issues, and the challenges students face today. Furthermore, you should be familiar with college and career planning resources and possess the ability to guide students in making informed decisions about their future pathways.In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will have the additional responsibility of overseeing the ordering of state tests and ensuring their smooth implementation. This will involve working closely with the school administration and the Committee on Special Education (CSE) chairperson to coordinate student testing modifications and accommodations.
