MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Seeking a physical education teacher to provide general physical education and health education in a Pre-K - 12 school setting. Key responsibilities include Assess individual students and develop, adapt and implement physical education programming on an individual basis or group setting Develop differentiated instruction and curricula that meets the needs of students (Pre-K-12) with a wide range of skills and experiences Engage students at a physically and cognitively appropriate level Accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner as mandated by New York State and school policies and procedures REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certification in Physical Education NYS Certification in Health Education preferred Experience working within an elementary and high school physical education setting preferred, but not required Ability to work collaboratively with others Belief in the value of physical exercise for every student, and willingness to use creative measures to help students maximize their potential in the gym and in the classroom
