Anticipated Spanish Teacher Position:The Andes Central School District is seeking a Spanish teacher for a grade 3-12 position.We are looking for an individual who is a fluent speaker, and strong in conversational Spanish as well as grammar instruction. The teacher we hire should be enthusiastic about instruction in oral and written Spanish, energetic in delivery, and collaborative in nature. The lessons for the younger children should build interest and skills, all while inspiring a passion for the Spanish language. The more advanced students should be well-prepared for state-level checkpoint examinations. Responsibilities for the Spanish teacher will include:Teaching diverse learners and creating lessons based on the needs of individual students.Scheduling and preparing students for oral and written examinationsTeaching students about Spanish culture, which may include hands-on learning, traditional food celebrations, dress and social conventions, and song.Monitoring student progressProviding feedback and strong communication with parentsOrganizing opportunities for students to showcase their language skills The ability to be well-organized and capable of handling multiple grade levels and responsibilities.
